Statement of Faith

Statement of Faith

At Telos Care, Inc., our Christ-centered, faith-based principles are fundamental to our philosophy and ministry. While our Christian ideology guides our work, we serve individuals from all backgrounds and faiths, providing compassionate care with dignity. Augustine’s poignant words undergird our practices: “in essentials unity, in non-essentials liberty, and in all things charity” (Augustine, 354-430). This approach allows us to maintain our core values while respecting diverse perspectives and providing competent God-inspired care.

What We Believe

THE BIBLE We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible word of God. The Bible is the authority on which we base our faith, conduct, and doctrine. (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21) THE TRINITY We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God the Father is the Creator of the world and is actively involved in humanity. Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to this earth as Savior of the world. The Holy Spirit continues the work of Jesus on earth today. (Matthew 28:19, 1 John 5:7) THE DEITY OF CHRIST We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ. We believe Jesus Christ is equal with God and is eternal, omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent, and immutable. (Colossians 2:9, 1 John 3:20, Matthew 19:26, Jeremiah 23:24, Hebrews 13:8) THE HOLY SPIRIT We believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, actively indwelling and empowering believers for service. He convicts of sin, guides us in truth, and manifests spiritual gifts for the edification of the Church (1 Corinthians 12:7-11). We embrace a lifestyle seeking His fullness, as He equips us to live out our faith and fulfill the Great Commission (Acts 1:8). SALVATION We believe that no one comes to the Father except through Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus died on the cross and shed His blood for our sins. We believe that salvation is only found by placing our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, His atoning death through His shed blood on the cross, His burial, His bodily resurrection on the third day, His ascension to the Father, and His return to this earth in glory and power. (John 14:6-11, Romans 5:1; 5:8-9, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, Matthew 1:18, 2 Corinthians 5:21) OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD We believe that every believer should be in a growing relationship with Jesus by obeying God’s Word, yielding to the Holy Spirit, and being conformed to the image of Christ. (See Philippians 3:12-13, Galatians 4:19)
