Dr. Corinn A. Elmore is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 15 years of experience providing evidence-based, trauma-informed care to children, families, and adults across medical, academic, and community settings. She is the founder of Corinn Elmore Consultation & Psychological Services in Sacramento, California, where she offers psychological assessment, therapy, and consultation. She also serves as the Director of Counseling at Center of Praise Ministries in Sacramento.

Dr. Elmore earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Loyola University Chicago, a master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northwestern University, and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Hampton University. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Child Trauma at the Emory University School of Medicine.

Her previous positions include serving as a Pediatric Psychologist at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where she developed the first integrated behavioral health program in pediatrics, and as Director of Youth Programs at the City of Refuge Sacramento, a faith-based nonprofit supporting individuals and families experiencing homelessness and survivors of sexual exploitation and domestic abuse.

A sought-after speaker, educator, and consultant, Dr. Elmore is an Adjunct Professor of Counseling Psychology at Jessup University, where she trains future clinicians and mental health professionals. Her research and publications focus on child and family psychology, integrated behavioral health, trauma recovery, and the intersection of race, culture, and well-being.

Dr. Elmore has held national leadership positions within the American Psychological Association, including serving as Chair of the Committee on Children, Youth, and Families. Her expertise has been featured in Psychology Today, Military Times, and the APA Monitor.

Guided by faith and a deep commitment to equity, resilience, and accessible care, Dr. Elmore continues to bridge research, ministry, and clinical practice to promote healing and empowerment in diverse communities. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys spending time with her family, her cat Elijah, and hosting lively game nights.
